The correlation between parents interaction conflict with online game addiction in adolescents

Introduction: The prevalence of online game addiction has increased among adolescents in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between parent conflict and adolescents. Methods: used a cross-sectional, correlational design. inclusion criteria this were as follows: (1) ages 13-19 who male, (2) willing become respondents. Eighty approached according criteria, 73 respondents eligible for study. data collection method was questionnaire filled out by adapted determine adolescents' perceptions interaction conflict. Statistical analysis performed using Spearman’s rank test with α=0.05. Results: Parental positively related (p = 0.004). majority experienced fair category had low conflicts their parents. Conclusions: Conflict parents can cause addicted games. Parents are expected engage good interactions accordance stages adolescent development. should be able complete problem well.
